Instruction To Transfer An Outlook Express Address Book To Windows 7 OS

There are computer users who find it hard going transferring the Address Book in Outlook Express to a system running Windows 7 OS. This article mainly aims at helping them out with that. Note that the below instructions are provided by the Windows 7 Support team, and if you have trouble following them, contact Microsoft Support immediately.
How to export the Outlook Express Address Book  folder?
• Open the Outlook Express program on your computer. 
• Now click the Tools tab situated on the upper menu bar to access the Address Book option.
• After that, select the Help tab and choose the About Address Book option from the drop-down  menu. You’ll be able to view the folder path in the File field.
• Copy the folder path to the clipboard with the Ctrl+C combo on your keyboard. When done, hit OK.
• Go to My Computer from the Start menu and navigate to this file’s location. To do this, input the copied folder path into the address bar with the the Ctrl+V key combo, and hit the Enter key to obtain the Address Book folder.
• Now you need to transfer this Address Book folder into an external storage medium. For example, if you are using an external USB flash drive, then copy the entire Address Book folder into this USB flash drive. When done, turn off your system
Things to be performed on a Windows 7 computer
First of all, you need to transfer the Outlook Address folder from the USB flash drive to the Windows 7 System. After finishing this, follow the below instruction.
• Click on the Windows Start button, and select the All Programs tab from the popped-up start menu. You can see the entire list of programs installed on your computer.
• Locate the Windows Live folder in the All Programs list, and choose Windows Live Mail from the subfolder.
• Now select the Contacts tab located at the left side of the window.
• Press and hold Alt+M on your keyboard, and when a new window appears, select the Import option. 
• Now choose the Windows Address Book option. Browse for the folder you copied and hit Open to import the contacts to the Windows 7 system.
These Windows 7 Support instructions are enough to transfer Outlook Express Address Book to Windows 7 system. If you have difficulty following any of them, contact Microsoft Support online.
