Help To Underline Words On Microsoft Word

Microsoft word comes loaded with many features that allow the user to prepare document files with ease. Using the Underline feature on Word, you can underline the words that require more attention and emphasis. Follow the simple guidelines mentioned below to use the underline feature on Microsoft Word.

You can try Keyboard Shortcuts to make the words underline in Microsoft word options. Follow the simple tips briefed below to use keyboard shortcuts in Microsoft Word to underline words.
·        Long press the Ctrl key on the keyboard. Simultaneously, press the U key. This action will turn on the underline function in Microsoft Word.
·        Enter the text that you want to underline in Microsoft Word.
·        Long press the Ctrl key on the keyboard. Simultaneously, press the U key. This will now turn off the underline function in Microsoft Word.
·        You can also make Word underline the data that you have typed. Open the document that you want Word to underline. Select the text. Now hit press the Ctrl and the U key to underline.

·        Launch the Microsoft Word on your system. To launch Microsoft Word application click on the Start orb or the Windows icon placed on the bottom left corner of home screen. Alternatively, you can launch the Start menu by clicking the Windows shortcut key on the keyboard. From the Start menu pop up, select the label that reads All Programs. The All Programs menu will list down all the applications and programs listed including Microsoft Word. You can also launch the same, by double clicking the desktop shortcut label or by clicking the shortcut plugged on to the taskbar.
·        Select the option labeled Underline from the tool bar placed on top of the Microsoft Word application page. You will find the Underline option placed under the Fonts Tab. The Underline option will look like the capital letter U. If you do not find the Underline option in Microsoft Word toolbar ribbon, right click on an empty space. From the dropdown, select the Formatting option.
·        Type the text that you want to underline into the main Microsoft Word window.
·        To disable, hit the Underline button again to undo the underline.
